An amazing number of dictionary terms are still available in .hk form. (.hk is about 7 years behind .com). So you might be able to buy it straight from the HKIRC (Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Ltd) , the entity that controls .hk. Their registration fees are:

One year: HK$250
2 years: HK$500
3 years: HK$625
5 years: HK$1,000

2. Register the name – the first two weeks is free!
Good news. You don’t have to pay yet. In fact one of the weird things about the Hong Kong registry is that you can buy a name and hold it for two weeks before having to pay. And if, after two weeks, you change your mind and don;t want to pay then you can give it back no questions asked. That’s been my experience anyway.

3. Do the paper work

If you live in HK by far the easiest and most fun way is to pay yourself at their office in Central. It’s right near Western Market and the staff are super nice so it’s always a pleasure.
